Dr. Karen Zenker, Veterinarian
Dr. Karen Zenker graduated from Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. Her undergraduate work was completed at North Texas University.
Her special interests include internal medicine, soft tissue surgery and preventative medicine, especially as it pertains to senior pets. She also has extensive experience in emergency and critical care medicine.
She lives outside of Gainesville with her family, three dogs, two cats, five miniature donkeys, two guinea pigs and various foster animals.
Dr. King, Veterinarian
Dr. King graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1974.
He founded practices in Coppell and Valley Ranch before teaming with Dr. Zenker in Corinth. He also serves on the Board of Directors that leads North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic and Flower Mound Emergency Pet Clinic, respectively.
Special interests include surgery, dentistry, and preventative medicine. His leisure time is spent at his Angus cattle ranch and working with his bird dogs.
Dr. Tracy Crawford, Veterinarian
Dr. Tracy Crawford graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Science in 1991. She continued her education at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine earning her doctorate in 1995. After completing an Internal Medicine internship in Ft. Worth, she has practiced small animal medicine in the DFW metroplex. Soft tissue surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, feline medicine, dermatology, and senior pet care are just some of her special interests. Dr. Crawford and her husband have 3 great children, 2 sweet dogs, and 2 mischievous cats. In her free time, Dr. Crawford enjoys playing the piano, fitness and traveling.
Dr. Valerie Head, Veterinarian
Dr. Valerie Head joined Corinth Animal Hospital in January 2019. She loves providing care for your exotic mammals, birds, reptiles, cats, and dogs, and has special interests in surgery, exotic animal husbandry, and preventive care!
She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University in 2017. She is a member of the Association of Reptilian and Amphibian Veterinarians (ARAV), the Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV), the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians (AEMV), as well as other local and national veterinary associations.
Her work with prairie dogs was published in the Journal of the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science in 2017, and her work with chameleons was published in the Journal of Herpetological Medicine and Surgery in 2018.
Dr. Head and her husband, Shane, are originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. She worked as a veterinary technician while completing her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Utah. They moved to Texas in 2017, bringing along all of their pets, which include cats, dogs, reptiles, fish, and small mammals.

Jamey – Practice Manager/Technician
Jamey started working for Corinth Animal Hospital in August of 2009. She graduated from Tarleton State University with her Bachelor’s of Animal Science and Bachelor’s of Animal Industries with minors in Biology and Business.
After her start with Corinth Animal Hospital as a Kennel Technician, she was trained to be a technician and eventually a lead until finally the practice manager in April of 2015.
She also worked for several years in animal emergency.
When she can get out of the office she loves training staff and educating clients and taking loving care of their four legged kiddos.
Jamey spends every free moment with her husband and their daughter Abbi and their dog and cat Tiernan and Ziva.
Renee – Receptionist/Technician
Renee started with Corinth Animal Hospital in December of 2010.
She mostly works in reception, but loves dabbling on the technical side from time to time.
Renee used to work full time until 2013.
Now she helps out on Saturdays and the occasional weekdays when someone needs a day off.
She and her husband to be spend most of their time with their adorable daughter Aubrey, and all there many different animal small and large on their farm.
Sarah – Technician
Sarah started as a kennel technician in June 2012 and is now a receptionist/technician.
She recently graduated with a master’s degree in biology.
She loves working with dogs, cats, and wildlife.
She enjoys the family-like atmosphere between the staff and clients at Corinth Animal Hospital.
Sarah loves her heeler, Capone, and her kitty, Dinah. In her spare time she enjoys doing wildlife rehabilitation.
Jamie – Receptionist
Jamie has been a veterinary receptionist since 1999. She started working at Corinth Animal Hospital in June 2014.
Her passion is getting to know our clients and building relationships with them.
She takes pride in caring for both clients and their pets, helping everyone to feel at home when they come in.
When not at work, she spends her free time with her daughter Kendall, dog Mellie, and two cats Gus and Baby Cat.
Isabelle – Technician/Reception
Isabelle started working at Corinth Animal Hospital through a high school internship program in October 2015.
She has since graduated and is attending Texas A & M working toward a degree in veterinary medicine.
She works here when school is out and continues to grow in knowledge, technique and is a great asset to us.
Her four legged kiddos, Blair and Chuck keep her busy in between her study time.
Doreen – Lead Kennel Technician
Doreen is an awesome member of our team. She just joined us in January of 2017, but she has become irreplaceable already.
She takes special care of all our patients in the hospital giving them walks, love, and always makes sure they have a nice comfy place to lay while staying with us.
She also stays on top of the cleanliness around the clinic and makes sure everything always smells wonderful.
She and her husband have lived in the Corinth area for quite some time. She is a retired special needs teacher. Doreen has the cutest little capuchin monkey named Jingles. Wow she is cute!
Andrew – Technician Assistant
Andrew started as a kennel technician in January 2017. He just started training as a technician assistant in 2018.
He is wanting to gain much experience to help get into veterinary school after college. His love for all of our four-legged kiddos and passion for their care shows he will be a great veterinarian one day.
When he is not working and going to classes, he spends his free time playing with his dog Bella or riding his bike and enjoying the outdoors.
Jessica – Technician Assistant/Reception
Jessica started at Corinth Animal Hospital in February of 2017. She started in the veterinary world as a receptionist in May of 2016.
She has excelled at building her skills and knowledge quickly and is excited for all else she has to learn.
She loves educating clients and caring for all our patients.
Jessica and her husband have a beautiful daughter, Kayla, born in August of 2018. They enjoy all out door activities with their daughter, and their three dogs Diesel, Dozer, and Daisy.
Jessie – Technician/Reception
Jessie started working at Corinth Animal hospital in May of 2017.
She is attending Oklahoma State University to graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science.
She hopes to attend Oklahoma State’s CVHS to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.
Studying for classes and taking care of her little Yorkie, Tucker, take up most of her time! In her spare time she loves to travel and spend time with friends.
Sasha – Technician/Reception
Sasha graduated from Walsh University in Ohio in 2014 with a BS in Biology and a BS in Secondary Science Education.
She grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and moved to Bluffton, SC to teach high school.
In 2017 she left teaching to gain experience as a Veterinary Technician and begin the application process to veterinary School.
She enjoys learning new techniques to care for patients and educating clients.
In her free time Sasha likes to travel, run, eat, and spend time with her Catahoula, Axle Rose, and cat, Leonard.
Kira – Technician/Reception
Kira started with Corinth Animal Hospital in May of 2018.
Growing up in Little Axe, Oklahoma, her love for animals began early in life.
She is a graduate of North Central Texas College and holds an Associates of Applied Science.
Kira started in the veterinary industry in August of 2016. Her love and compassion for animals has strongly driven her knowledge and skill as a veterinary technician.
Kira spends her free time with her husband, John, and their three adorable “rug-rats” Nala, Max, Todd and their kitty Wally.
Vonda joined Corinth Animal Hospital in January, 2019.
She graduated from Virginia Tech in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and a minor in Biology.
Vonda is a retired Information Technology specialist, having worked for a major brokerage firm for over 27 years.
In her spare time, Vonda cares for her small menagerie of pets, which includes 3 dogs, 2 cats, a red-footed tortoise, a bearded dragon and several aquariums of tropical fish and goldfish. She also enjoys woodworking, gardening, reading, music and watching sports.
